Dr. Rajendra D. Badgaiyan, MD, is the Chief of Psychiatry at South Texas Veterans Health Care System San Antonio, Texas, and Professor of Psychiatry at Long School of Medicine, University of Texas Health, San Antonio, Texas. Dr Badgaiyan went to medical school in Bhopal, India and trained in cognitive neuroscience and neuroimaging in University of Oregon, University of Pittsburgh and Harvard University. After completing psychiatry residency at Harvard Medical School he was inducted in its faculty as an Assistant professor. In addition to Harvard he had faculty positions at SUNY Buffalo and University of Minnesota as a tenured full Professor. He also served as the Chairman of Psychiatry Department and Professor of Psychiatry in a hospital affiliated to Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai, New York. Dr Badgaiyan developed a neurotransmitter imaging technique called the single scan dynamic molecular imaging technique (SDMIT) or neurotransmitter imaging technique to detect, map, and measure neurotransmitters released acutely in the live human brain. Using this technique, he studies dopaminergic control of human cognition and behavior. He has received several prizes and awards including the prestigious Solomon Prize of Harvard Medical School and BK Anand National Research Prize in India. His research is funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Dana Foundation and other agencies. Dr Badgaiyan has published over 200 research papers, book chapters and a book titled ‘Neuroscience of the Nonconscious Mind’ (Elsevier/Academic Press).

My name is honorary professor Dr Geraldine Akerman I work at HMP Grendon, Chair of the Division of Forensic Psychology Executive Committee, visiting lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University and University of Birmingham. I have worked with men with sexual and other violent convictions since 1998. I have worked on prison service offending behaviour programmes and in a prison based therapeutic community. I have concentrated in my publications in exploring all aspects of the people I work with rather than simply if they are reconvicted. For instance I have written papers with residents regarding their experience of being a father and in prison. In my experience the index offence was the pinnacle of life experiences leading to that point. When we work with the men we look at what got them to that point. Being in a TC offers the opportunity of a more natural setting and strives to provide a safe environment in which to be able to explore this work. The rate of reconviction for sexual offences has a low base rate anyway but we tend to look at many other aspects, such as improving prison behaviour, less self harm, improving relationships etc.

Charles J. Golden, Ph.D., ABPP, ABCN, ABPN, ABAP is nationally and internationally known for his clinical research in the field of neuropsychological and psychological assessment. He has given over 100 invited presentations/workshops, and published over 500 articles, book chapters, and books. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA), and holds a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, and Psychological Assessment. In recognition of his clinical and research accomplishments, he has received the Distinguished Neuropsychologist Award from the National Association of Neuropsychologists in 2003. He is a journal editor of Archives of Assessment Psychology. He is a past president of the National Academy of Neuropsychologists. He is currently employed as a Full Professor at Nova Southeastern University.

David Tzuriel, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus at Bar-Ilan University. He is a clinical and educational psychologist and an expert on dynamic assessment of learning potential and theory of mediated learning experience (MLE). David Tzuriel has received his B.A. (1970) and M.A. (1973) degrees in Psychology and Education at Bar-Ilan University (Israel) and his Ph.D. (1977) from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Currently he works as Head of the Research Unit at Feuerstein Institute in Jerusalem and Chairman of Graduate Program of Learning Disabilities Program at Talpiot College. David Tzuriel served as the President of the International Association for Cognitive Education and Psychology (1999-2001) and as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Cognitive Education and Psychology (JCEP; 2006-2011; 2016--). His scientific work is related to empirical validation, implementation, and modification of the theories of Feuerstein and Vygotsky, and his research is cited frequently in the literature.
David Tzuriel supervised 95 MA and Ph.D. students, and published many studies and books in the field of dynamic assessment, cognitive modifiability, parent-child mediated interactions, peers and siblings mediation, spatial abilities, executive functions and effectiveness of cognitive education programs. David Tzuriel is known as a leader and developer of the dynamic assessment movement and taught more than 200 international workshops.
Ph.D. in clinical psychology in the School of Psychology and Educational Sciences, at the University of Lisbon, in Portugal, and received her master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the same University. Recently, she published the book: Are Mass Media Health strategists? (2005). This research is based on mass media role in breast cancer prevention.
Her work has been published in several Portuguese scientific magazines in the field of Health Psychology. She published a book: The Lost Emerald: Information given to breast cancer patients (1997; 2ªEdition 2005), and is co-editor of Clinic Dentistry: Bio-psycho-social contributes (2000). She is also co-publisher, jointly with Estrella Durá, Ph.D., from Spain, of a book about Oncologic Psychology- The Land of Oncolological Psychology (2002), which collects papers from Spanish and Portuguese researchers in the field of oncology.
For the last two years, she has been named as Member of the Portuguese Jury of the European Health Education Award, organized by the European Commission. She is a member of the Portuguese Committee of Europa Donna, a member of the European Society of Health Psychology and a founding member of the Portuguese Society of Health Psychology, and currently, a Member of its Executive Committee, having been recently appointed as Chairman of the Psycho-oncology Group. Certified by the International Union Against Cancer ( U.I.C.C.) as a trainer of Volunteers she leads international Reach to Recovery Train-the-Trainers workshops. Being trained in child psychotherapy, she is a founding member of the Portuguese Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Children and Youngster and she also published some books of literature for children.

Dr. Keith Klostermann is a marriage and family therapist at Wheatfield Pediatrics. He also serves as the Director of Education and Competence for the International Center for Clinical Excellence (ICCE), an international think tank focused on continuously reviewing and disseminating research about what works in therapy. He is an internationally-recognized expert in the use of Behavioral Couples Therapy for Substance Use Disorders (BCT-SUD). Dr. Klostermann is licensed as both a mental health counselor and marriage and family therapist, is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and is recognized as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and certified family therapist (CFT). The American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) recognizes Dr. Klostermann as a Diplomate and Clinical Mental Counseling Specialist in Couples and Family Counseling, Child and Adolescent Counseling, and Military Counseling.
In addition to his roles at Medaille, Dr. Klostermann has also served as a clinical consultant for numerous agencies (e.g., the Calgary Counselling Center in Calgary, Alberta; Phoenix House in New York City, Best Self Behavioral Health, Buffalo, NY) in their implementation of BCT-SUD. Dr. Klostermann is recognized by the national VA Healthcare System as a couples therapy content expert and served as one of the lead trainers in their national implementation of BCT for treating individuals with substance use disorders. Most recently, Dr. Klostermann served as a Co-Investigator with colleagues from Edinburgh University to implement BCT-SUD in Edinburgh, Scotland. The results of this study are being used to inform larger-scale BCT implementation efforts across Scotland.

Paul T. P. Wong, Ph.D., C.Psych. is Professor Emeritus of Trent University. He is a Fellow of APA and CPA and President of the International Network on Personal Meaning (www.meaning.ca) and the Meaning-Centered Counselling Institute Inc. Editor of the International Journal of Existential Positive Psychology, he has also edited two influential volumes on The Human Quest for Meaning. A prolific writer, he is one of the most cited existential and positive psychologists.
